LIFTING FOG was born in 2008 on the heels of The Great Recession and 'The Dark Knight', two great tastes that tasted great together. For basically half a decade, DJ Steve and I charted our post-college journey in posts about Paramore, Harry Potter, and ski-wee instruction. DJ Steve became a music producer; I, Henning, became a television writer.
A decade+ later, blogs like this are retro at best and the internet even less in need of navel-gazing pop culture essays disguised as records of burgeoning maturity. But where else are we supposed to publish this shit? Medium? (They don't want us!)
And so LIFTING FOG is where we (read: mostly me) dump our many and varied thoughts and creative experiments -- stuff that was maybe too niche for network TV, too rambling for a tweet, and too eye-rolling to share over text. But here... just right.
