Will Edmondson is that man.
A few days ago I wrote about my Philadelphia Phillies, posting a link to the latest Howard/Rollins joint and promoting their chances for a repeat of last year’s dynamite season. Will, a diehard Mets fan, didn’t appreciate my enthusiasm for the boys in red. Nor was he pleased by my criticisms of his team and franchise – among them claims that Shea’s music playlist is ripped from a Washington Heights block party and that Jose Reyes can’t speak English (both are true). In retaliation he posted this little number on his new blog (I know, right?), filled with venom for all things Philadelphia. Like the Joker, his M.O. is escalation. Like Batman, I’ve got no choice but to fight back. Play ball, motherf^@!%r.
Rest assured this violent volley of blog posts will continue, unabated, until one of us cracks. SPOILER ALERT: it won’t be me.

Unfortunately, as my blog is an exercise for my, you know, job, I have to edit the post to make it “less personal.” ie, I have to take Henning references out and end the feud between blogs. However, I will still write shit about Philly, and do not like the Phillies, Jimmy Rollins, or Pat Burrell. Maybe I can continue my musings as a guest poster but Im hesitant to throw my words to the mercy of editor Fog. It was fun while it lasted.
