This Has Really Been Bothering Me…

by

Does anyone else think the Mamma Mia! ingenue (Amanda Seyfried) looks less excited about her upcoming nuptials than she is desperate to find the nearest bathroom? I’m serious. Note the wistful look. The hunched pose. The sparkling water. Girl’s got to go, and bad. These posters line the walls at every subway stop on the A line, so I’ve had plenty of time to really take the image in. A not-so-subtle message from Universal Pictures about urinary tract infection prevention?

I guess I just find it kind of unbelievable that after months of (presumed) work and dedication both to the movie and ad campaign, this is the image they settle on. I’m sure they took about a thousand shots in whatever photo session bore the above – there wasn’t one that got the intended message across with less bladder-related subtext?

… Whatever, I’ll still probably wind up seeing it with my mom.

I LOVED that musical, so I went to see the movie in a dual effort to pleas my feminine side and to escape the heat wave in NYC. It was awesome. I think we should all over-act like the way they do in the movie. Think of how much fun life would be if you had to open your eyes and mouth really wide and talk like a dog eating peanut butter.

Agreed, Ben – life would be a far more magical affair if we heeded the advice of Streep & Co. and just had FUN. I haven’t seen the movie yet, but rest assured another post is in order the moment I do. The thought of seeing 007 belt one out (poorly, I’ve heard) is more enticing than I’d like to admit.
